Who we are

YTF1 Sim-racing Team is an eSports Racing (a.k.a Sim-Racing) team. We compete in simulated motor races against human opponents in real time using 'sim-racing' games, including the rFactor, Automobilista and DiRT series.

In 2018, we're competing in the GPVWC and IVRC leagues: look out for the red, white & blue colours that we have on most of our cars!

YTF1's origins are in Single-seater racing, which is generally based around the world's most well-known motorsport championship and its feeder championships. Success in this discipline is dependent on great speed, precision racecraft, advanced car tuning and clever tyre strategies: an incredibly rewarding challenge.

YTF1 are stalwarts in the GPVWC's single-seater ladder - in 2018 we competed in the intermediate category: the Supercup. We've also raced in championships based on American and electric formula racing with some success.

YTF1 also have a history in Touring Car racing, dating back to 2013. Soon afterwards, we enjoyed our first major successes, fielding multiple drivers on their way to championship victories. Touring car races are short, but several can fit into a single day. Hard, door-rubbing racing is the name of the game, with reversed grids and success ballast mixing up the order.

We've competed in GPVWC's International Touring Cup since its inception and, in 2018, also joined the International VRC series in its maiden year.

We've competed in other disciplines including Carrera Cup and GT racing, but Rallying is our 3rd most-entered form of competition. There's no wheel-to-wheel racing here - just racing against the clock on the tough stages around the world, competing on gravel, mud, snow and tarmac. Intense concentration and specific driving techniques are the keys to victory in this challenging discipline.

During our time on the rally stages, we've claimed multiple rally wins and a drivers' championship victory. We're looking forward to rallying again in the future.

The Drivers

YTF1 has been home to many a driver over the years - we are one of many teams who sign drivers on a 'per season' basis and they can enjoy the freedom of driving in other leagues for other teams if they so desire.

YTF1's 2018 driver lineups for various championships can be found below.

The Early Days

The team was founded in the Netherlands in 2010 and originally competed in a private series in which the team's founders were heavily involved, using the Grand Prix 3 platform. In late 2011, the team was on the verge of closing, but the present owners took over and the team's future was secured.

Now entered as a British team, YTF1 competed in the private series until its conclusion, before entering established sim-racing leagues using rFactor - the first of which being the GPVWC Formula Challenge series in 2013.
